Another cold spring storm is on the doorstep. Forecasts call for up to 6″ of snow from this system above 6,000ft over night and through Friday. As a result we will be closed tomorrow (Friday). Unfortunately the ground is so warm this time of year that the snow we received last week has all melted, otherwise we would be looking at the potential of some snow activities. The forecast does call for the system to move through the area Friday night for mostly sunny skies Saturday in time for the Amgen Tour of California bike race. Expect temps in the 50’s Saturday and Sunday with a west wind gusting to 20mph.
Due to the weather we are experiencing we have been forced to postpone the opening weekend for tent bungalow operations. Once the weather moves through and the race is behind us tent construction will resume. Tent Bungalows will be available for rental the last weekend of May during our Moonlight Hike events.
See you on the mountain.
